Obama Honored Fallen SEALs By Sending Their Parents a Form Letter Signed By Electric Pen

obama-electric-pen-paperOn August 6, 2011, 30 US service members were killed when a CH-47 Chinook helicopter they were being transported in crashed in Wardak province, Afghanistan. It was the deadliest single loss for U.S. forces in the decade-long war in Afghanistan. 17 membersof the elite Navy SEALs were killed in the crash.

Yesterday, Karen and Billy Vaughn, parents of Aaron Carson Vaughn, spoke at theDefending the Defenders forum sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots outside the RNCConvention in Tampa. Karen brought a copy of the form letter they were sent following their son’s death.

It’s a form letter.

It was signed by an electric pen.

That’s not all.
Karen Vaughn reached out to the parents of the other SEALs killed in that crash.
Their letters were all the same.
Form letters – signed by an electric pen.

Here’s a closer look at the letter sent to the parents of Chief Petty Officer Nicholas H. Null.
It’s the same form letter.

After the deadliest single loss of US forces in Afghanistan, Barack Obama sent out form letters to the parents.

UPDATE: But Obama did send a personal letter to rapper Heavy D’s family when he passed away.

  1. What! And worse, it was typed and not written in parchment with a quill! The chutzpa! What does hr think this is the 21st century?

  2. Why should SEALs get signed letters when other troops don’t. Is it a greater tragedy when a SEAL dies? This is clearly just a partison attack as no Republicans complained that Bush used form condolence letters. Dont let your politics interfere with logic.

  3. i am sure he was busy with other things for the welfare of the country – playing golf sounds about right?!?!

  4. @ #3
Obama exploited the Navy SEALs for all of their worth after the Osama raid and made them targets of terrorists worldwide. They deserve a lot more than a worthless piece of paper from the man that should be responsible for their deaths.

  5. the president is a busy man. it’s unfair to expect him to hand sign every letter. This is an unfair exploitation of your audience’s dislike of the president.

Yes, of course you are, baruch HaShem. You live in the United States, where freedom of speech is not only allowed but encouraged, and not in Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Ukraine, Russia, Uruguay (continued on page 159).
