Crown Heights Shomrim has published an urgent alert to the community asking them to be on alert for a man wanted in the break-in of a Jewish home in Crown Heights, Brooklyn while the family was asleep inside.
According to those knowledgeable about the incident, the man was recorded on multiple home surveillance cameras as he attempted to gain entry into homes on President Street. One of his attempts succeeded.
In a video provided to CrownHeights.info, the burglar can be seen approaching a home at around 3:00am Wednesday morning and attempting both the front and basement doors before finding a partially open window to the basement.
Taking advantage, he could be seen lowering himself into the home’s basement. Some 15 minutes later, the man could be seen exiting the basement door, loot in hand.
Shockingly, the family was home and sleeping in their beds at the time of the incident. Thankfully, the burglar was only there to steal items.
Until this man is caught and locked up, please be extra vigilant to secure the doors and windows of your home.

Why bother catching him? Our Governor wants him back on the street, and considers our concern about crime silly. We might do better by finding a way to trap him so that he eliminates himself while committing the crime. Then we notify Hochul to come pick up the carcass.
