Anti-Iran Deal Scientist Now Backs Deal

The leader of United Against Nuclear Iran quit his job last week, when the bipartisan advocacy group began to mobilize against the agreement.

Gary Samore announced that he resigned from his post because his assessment of the deal found that “President Obama’s strategy succeeded.” “He has created economic leverage and traded it away for Iranian nuclear concessions,” Samore said.

He was replaced as head of the group by Joseph Lieberman, the former U.S. senator from Connecticut. In Lieberman’s words, the agreement remains “a bad deal.” Read more at The New York Times.
