Boyaner Chassidim have been informed by the rosh yeshiva of Yeshivas Ruzhin-Boyan in Eretz Yisroel, Rav Zvi Rabinowitz, that the Boyaner Rebbe’s son, Rav Mordechai Shlomo Brayer, will serve as the rov of the Boyaner kehillah in the United States after the passing of the previous rov, Rav Eliezer Ben Zion Eichler.
There are Boyaner Kloiz locations in Manhattan, in Williamsburg, in Monsey and in Lakewood. The new rov will lead from the Boyaner Kloiz on 14th Avenue in the Borough Park neighborhood of Brooklyn.
The official hachtarah will take place on 11 Elul, the yahrtzeit of Rav Avraham Ya’akov of Sadigura, son of the Saba Kadisha Rav Yisroel of Ruzhin.
At first, Rav Mordechai Shlomo, 38, will stay in the US every month for a period of two weeks and will eventually move to live in the US. A son-in-law of the Rebbe of Dzikov-Vizhnitz, Rav Mordechai Shlomo lives in Yerushalayim.
