The family of an Israeli man gunned down in Baltimore earlier this week poured scorn Wednesday on a working theory that he died in a botched robbery and that rather, he was the victim of a targeted attack because he was Jewish.

Ephraim Gordon, 31, was killed on the doorsteps of his cousin’s home in the northwestern section of the city, while visiting for a family wedding.

His sister, Ella Gordon, called a press conference on Wednesday, during which she stressed that details of the case point to it not being a random crime. She claimed her brother was killed by “terrorists,” reported The Times of Israel.

“This was an act of terrorism, my brother didn’t just die,” Gordon said. “There were no signs of violence, and they didn’t take money.”

“It was not a robbery that went wrong, but murder due to antisemitism,” Gordon said, noting that her brother was wearing a velvet skullcap and sported a beard, outward signs that he was a religious Jew.

“They didn’t take money, just shot him in the stomach and ran off,” she said.
