“Something happened to me now, that made me fall insanely in love with our people,” Galei Yisrael Radio host Yossi Davidov recently tweeted. “It’s a short incident. I was waiting in line at a small eatery near the radio station to pay for a meal. I gave the salesman my credit card. After a few moments, I noticed that he took a piece of receipt paper, folded it, and gave it to me together with my card.”

“Chabibi, your card didn’t work. Pay next time,” the note said.

Puzzled, Davidov asked him why he wrote this instead of telling him outright.

“I always write [such things] to customers so that they shouldn’t be embarrassed,” the salesman explained.

“My jaw dropped,” the journalist said. “What a prince.”
