As first reported earlier today on Matzav Status, a pair of tefillin belonging to a bochur was erroneously put into the garbage at the Satmar Shul on Myrtle Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Local askanim got involved and Chaveirim volunteers were dispatched to the Waste Management trash dump, where segments of garbage from Williamsburg were identified and searched.
After several hours of searching, the volunteers came up with the missing tefillin, to the great relief of their owner.
