Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with Vice President Kamala Harris Thursday night, according to a tweet by the Israeli premier shortly after midnight.

The two discussed the success of Israel’s vaccine drive, with Harris congratulating Netanyahu on the high rate of vaccination, which stands at almost 40 percent for the second Pfizer dose.

“We agreed to establish a joint team to strengthen cooperation in the fight against the coronavirus,” he tweeted.

Harris expressed the Biden administration’s opposition to the recent International Criminal Court decision to open an investigation into war crimes committed in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Additionally, Harris praised Israel’s success in rapprochement with Arab states under the Abraham Accords, while stressing US commitment to advancing peace and stability for Palestinians and Israelis alike.
