A fire broke out at the Spinka Bais Medrash in Boro Park, completely burning the structure, apart from the Sifrei Torah and the rebbe’s room.
Boruch Hashem, there were no injuries.
The conflagration was at Bais Medrash Heichal Yitzchok located on 56th Street between 14th and 15th Avenues.
Firefighting forces worked valiantly to put out the fire.
The bais medrash was one that was used by the old Spinka Rebbe zt”l after the Holocaust.
The room where the rebbe receives people was not burned, and the Sifrei Torah and divrei Torah of the rebbe were also miraculously saved.
The rebbe lives upstairs from the bais medrash. He was recently released from the hospital after a battle with illness.
The fire was apparently caused by an electrical short from a refrigerator in a side room.

People who smoke cigarettes need to be careful.
Apparently you didn’t read the article or watch the video. This had NOTHING to do with cigarettes! This was an electrical fire caused by some old faulty wiring.
