The White House on Tuesday insisted that President Joe Biden had no prior knowledge of the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago, Breitbart reports.

“The president was not briefed, was not aware of it. No one from the White House was given a head’s up,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre claimed during the daily briefing on Tuesday.

She repeated that Biden learned about the raid from public media reports “just like the American people.”

Jean-Pierre also insisted that Biden’s Justice Department was “independent” from his administration under the leadership of Attorney General Merrick Garland, citing the president’s endorsement of Garland’s leadership when he was selected as Attorney General.

“I want to remind everyone of what Biden said when he nominated Merrick Garland: ‘We need to restore the honor, integrity, the independence of the Department of Justice that has been so badly damaged,’” she said.

Jean-Pierre repeatedly refused to comment on even the smallest details of the Department of Justice, including if she even knew whether Garland “signed off” on the raid of Trump’s home. “I’m not going to comment further from here,” she said, referring all questions about the criminal investigation of the former president to the Justice Department.

Biden also ignored reporter questions about the raid after speaking at an event at the White House on Tuesday afternoon.

  1. Merrick Garland is not independent. He is a personal servant of the Biden family. The AG position is an UNELECTED one. The taxpayers had no say in his partisan party’s pick. Merrick is more concerned about white parents objecting to their school board’s decision to force mishgav zachor ciriculum into their 3 year old child’s classroom.

  2. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre… repeated that Biden learned about the raid from public media reports ‘just like the American people’.”
When asked whether the President had also learned about the Russian invasion of Ukraine from public media reports ‘just like the American people’, the Press Secretary said, “No, he learned about the invasion when he purchased a box of Wheaties for double the normal price, and realized that the price of grain must have shot up. He then said to himself, ‘Oh, my, I think the Russians invaded Ukraine!’, which is probably the way most Americans learned about the invasion. ”
When asked whether the FBI’s scouring of the former First Lady’s wardrobe, as reported by Matzav, was also part of the President’s pledge to, in her words, ‘restore the honor’ and,’ integrity… of the Department of Justice’, the Press Secretary said, “Well, if you believe that some wardrobes do not do justice to the one who wears them, and some do, than, yes, FBI agents scouring her wardrobe, would be part of restoring the integrity of the Department of Justice.”
When asked why the President ignored reporters questions about the raid on Tuesday, the White House Press Secretary said: “I think the President anticipated that you would ask him about the ‘honor and integrity’ of scouring the former First Lady’s wardrobe.”
