Yisrael Beytenu MK Oded Forer on Tuesday morning called to end funding for yeshivas for married students, since these increase “idleness.”
On Monday evening, Forer published the Finance Ministry’s deficit, saying, “For many long months, Yisrael Beytenu has been warning about the size of the deficit, and about the fact that we cannot deal with it as long as the Israeli government is held captive by [Interior Minister and Shas chairman Aryeh] Deri, [UTJ leader and Health Minister Yakov] Litzman, and [IUTJ leader and Finance Committee Chairman MK Moshe] Gafni, who make certain to keep their voters poor, uneducated, and out of the workforce.”
Gafni responded: “The Israeli public needs to investigate if there are two Oded Forers, one who works with me in the Finance Committee to help and aid the Israeli public, and the other who attacks a sector simply in order to find favor in the eyes of his master, whose main point is hatred of religion and behind whom there are no facts.”.

There’s no money to fund yeshivos but there’s loads of money to fund universities where students are draft-dodgers and aren’t even forced to join the army.
The university students draft dodgers are the real parasites. Not only do they not protect the land by arms, they don’t even learn and pray for protection.
Please don’t lower the status of the Yeshivos and Kollelim to that of a University.
We are not a comparison and should not be stood along side.
We are far better than that.
If Bayit Yehudi is supposedly a right-wing party which Netanyahu wants joined with other right-wing parties, forget it! They’ve lost it completely with this new one-sides bill.
I strongly disagree with this decision.
This is all just in the game of politics.
They put pressure on us so we will give in to what they demand.
They want Chillul Sahbbos and freedom from the yoke of Torah.
This is the reason we should no be in politics, at some stage we will need to make a compromise.
As we learnt in todays Daf we can never compromise with the Yetzer Harah.
We must look within to find a solution for the Gezerirah and not blame and point fingers at other.
