More than six months after his petirah in the Lag Ba’omer Meron tragedy, the wife of Rabbi Dovid Krauss z”l, from the Toldos Aharon kehillah in Beit Shemesh, has given birth to a healthy baby.
Reb Dovid was just 35 years old and left behind his wife and nine children.
His tenth child, a girl, has just been born.
Reb Dovid was a beloved member of Toldos Aharon in Beit Shemesh, with a sparkling personality and a kind word for one and all.
It was reported that on the way to Meron on the eve of Lag Ba’omer, Reb Dovid told his children about the greatness of the Tanna Rav Shimon Bar Yochai, and even danced with them – a final dance – at the kever of Rav Shimon.
When he saw that the place around the kever was cramped, he brought his three small children to an elevated place and told them, ‘Wait for me a few minutes. Do not move. I am going to the kever for a minute and will return to you..”
After long hours that his wife couldn’t reach him did she receive a phone call from one of the Hatzolah volunteers, informing her that her three children were waiting near the kever compound.
