Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had reportedly intended to reveal further evidence of an alleged secret Iranian nuclear weapons program during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Thursday, but refrained from doing so on the recommendation of the country’s security establishment.
According to a report by Israel’s Channel 10 news, citing a “senior Israeli official”, Netanyahu had intended to expose intelligence related to “a third site” during the speech but opted not to do so following consultations with security bodies.
Speaking to the UN forum, Netanyahu revealed that Israeli-gathered intelligence indicated the existence of a “secret atomic warehouse” in Tehran from where he said that 15 kilograms of radioactive material was recently removed.
