Neurosurgeons at Petach Tikvah’s Beilenson Hospital fitted a victim of the Elad terrorist attack with a 3D-printed helmet to alleviate his pain until he gets a permanent bone replacement. The man suffered severe fractures at the back of his skull, and bone needed to be removed.
Technology for the helmet was supplied by the Netanya-based Synergy3DMed company, a world leader in custom-made implants for surgical 3D printing.
